[ 🤔 A new question every Monday ]
Playing stroke, Jill thinks she has been playing with 13 clubs (actually has 14 clubs).
After the completion of the fifth hole (and before the sixth holes starts), she collects a lob wedge from her locker without delaying play and adds it to her bag.
Whilst playing the tenth hole, Jill now realises she has 15 clubs (asked to check by her marker).
She immediately takes the added lob wedge out of play (places a plastic bag over it) and informs her marker.
Jill now continues playing the round.
Note:Â Jill had made strokes with the added club (during holes 6 to 10).
What penalty does Jill get?

[ 🤔 A new question every Monday ]
Playing stroke, Greg’s tee stroke could be lost or even out-of-bounds.
He correctly declares and plays a provisional ball.
He finds his original ball (within the 3-minute search time) and is uncertain on whether it is out-of-bounds or in play.
He decides to play 2 balls, declaring his original ball to count if it is in play and will report to the Committee before submitting his score.
He returns to the teeing area to play the second ball and that stroke is a good one.
Greg takes 4 more strokes with his original ball and 3 more strokes with the second ball played from the teeing area to hole out.
He then starts the next hole.
Greg reports to the Committee before submitting his score.
The Committee Rules that Greg’s original ball was out-of-bounds.
What is Greg’s score for the hole?

LOVE THE GAME OF GOLF Â

Here’s a space and opportunity for golfers of all persuasions to review, interact, contribute, resolve scenarios, and seek support for issues associated with this great game.
Site focus is on the new (2023) Rules of Golf, principally utilising Quizzes along with other supporting resources.
GolfHelp does not compete with or challenge other golf resource sites. It has evolved out of a passion for the game and is designed to complement what is already in place supporting all golfers to better understand the game.
GolfHelp was conceived and developed in early in 2022 whilst COVID took its toll on golf events around the world. With feedback and new ideas, it continued to evolve.
The introduction of the revised Rules of Golf in January 2023 realised a need to undertake a major overhaul of the quiz question base.
I also took this opportunity to overhaul the site structure, layout, stability, data conforming and security. It was eventually republished on 3rd May 2023.
Questions are constructed with a lively manner utilising actual scenarios. They include images and detailed solutions, including active Ruling links back to the R&A’s Rules of Golf.
Random Question Quizzes are categorised as easy, intermediate and challenging. The challenging Quizzes are generally for seasoned Rules Officials.
Quiz questions are randomly taken from categorised pools which are continually being enhanced.
There are a variety of Quiz formats: multiple choice, true/false, turbo true/false, knockout true/false, timed true/false, golf trivia (not rules based), certificate options and the popular ‘Who Am I’.
Coming soon will be user customised quizzes.

A Rules resource has been developed. This provides a collection of resources to further enhance the learning of the game for all golfers and officials.
