In a stroke round, David's ball is at rest on the putting green after 3 strokes.
His next stroke is strong and comes to rest in a yellow penalty area situated well below the other side of the putting green.
David best estimates the point of entry and drops a ball into a 2-clublength lateral relief area.
Before making a stroke, he lifts the ball and places a different ball on the spot from where his putt was made from.
From there, David holes out with 2 more strokes.
David scores 7 for the hole.       [REF: 4S1508]

In a stroke round, Jill's ball is at rest in a yellow penalty area.
She takes back-on-line penalty relief (in the general area) and drops a ball correctly coming to rest in the created relief area.
The ball is also now  at rest in a general area No Play Zone.
Jill 'correctly' takes free relief from the NPZ, has a great lie and plays her next stroke.
Jill attracts a total of 3 penalty strokes.    [REF: 4S1500]

Playing stroke, David's ball is at rest on the putting green after 2 strokes.
The Committee immediately suspends play due to dangerous weather conditions. David leaves his ball and heads for safety.
On resumption of play, David finds his ball has been moved to a position on the fringe of the putting green. He is unclear on how it was moved.
From this position, David takes 2 putts to complete the hole and then tees off on the next hole.
David's score for the hole is 6.       [REF: 4S1539]

Playing stroke, Jill's ball has come to rest on the fringe of the putting green.
Without reason, Jill lifts her ball without marking it first, cleans it then substitutes a different ball and places that on the spot of her original ball.
Realising her error, Jill marks/lifts the substituted ball and replaces it with the original ball then plays that to the putting green (removing the marker first).
Jill gets just 1 penalty stroke.     [REF: 4S1518]

David and Greg are playing stroke.
David has holed out for 6 and Greg has a putt left to score 5.
Greg's putt comes to rest overhanging the hole.
Before the waiting period has expired, David taps the ball back to Greg and he lifts his ball.
Both players now tee off on the next hole.
Both players are disqualified from the round.      [REF: 4S1535]

Playing stroke, David's ball, played from the general area, is deliberately deflected by Greg whilst it is still in motion.
David estimates his ball would have come to rest on the putting green.
Without penalty, David must place the original ball on the spot where he estimates it would have come to rest without any deflection.        [REF: 4S1456]
