He places his sand wedge on the putting green (well away from his intended line of play to the hole) and his errant putt strikes the sand wedge and comes to rest still on the putting green.

Liz is a poor bunker player and Jill is quite good. Liz addresses the ball in the bunker and deliberately misses it with an attempted stroke.
Jill now plays out of the bunker with the ball coming to rest very close to the hole. Liz taps the ball into the hole and then the side tees off on the next hole.
